1. What is FireFly?
Firefly is a great new way to communicate using the Internet. It's a free software application that uses VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology, allowing you to make cheap or free calls over the Internet. Call anyone else in the world who is using Firefly for free! You can also call normal phones at highly competitive calling rates.
In addition to the great Firefly service, you also get access to free text messaging between Firefly users, and free voicemail!
2. How does FireFly work?
When you call another person on the Firefly network using a hand / headset or standard microphone and speakers, the call travels over the Internet to their computer for free. Similarly, a call to a normal phone travels over the Internet and then uses the traditional phone network for the last part. Normal telephone calls use Freshtel's highly competitive call rates. No charges for unanswered or busy calls and rates are charged per second. If you make lots of calls overseas or nationally you could save heaps off your normal phone bill, by using Firefly to make calls! ISP usage fees may apply, so check with your ISP first if you are unsure.
3. What can I do with FireFly?
You can make phone calls to any other Firefly users anywhere in the world for free. You also get instant messaging to other Firefly users, as well as your own Voicemail box so people can leave you a message when you are unavailable or not on the Internet - for free. Finally, you can call traditional phones both nationally and 
internationally with extremely competitive calling rates.
